Trump Denies Calling Haiti A ‘S***hole’ Country In Rambling Tweetstorm

If President Donald Trump doesn’t want the press to report on what he says in meetings about other countries such as Haiti, he should watch his language instead of whining.

Trump refused to take personal responsibility for his words on Friday after referring to African nations and Haiti as “sh*thole countries” during a discussion about DACA on Thursday at the White House.

NBC News reports:

“‘Why do we need more Haitians, take them out,’ he said, according to sources. Someone else in the room responded: ‘Because if you do, it will be obvious why.’

According to the aide, when the group came to discussing immigration from Africa, Trump asked why America would want immigrants from “all these shithole countries” and that the U.S. should have more people coming in from places like Norway.

A source familiar with the meeting told NBC News the president was particularly frustrated during discussions about the visa lottery system — a program Trump has railed against repeatedly in recent months. Another White House source explained the language Trump used as his way of trying to emphasize his support for a merit-based immigration system.”

The White House did not confirm nor deny Trump’s remarks, which pretty much means he said it.

On Friday morning, Trump took to Twitter to rant about DACA and complain about Democrats.

Then Trump twice denied saying what he said about Haiti and accused Democrats of not wanting to take care of our troops.

The obvious reason why Trump used such offensive language is that he’s a racist. It’s that simple.

Trump would rather have immigrants from Norway, where the population is much whiter.

As far as Trump’s threat to record meetings, bring it on. We all know that Trump would never release the tapes anyway, especially if they would prove that he made certain derogatory statements. The fact is that aides who were there heard what he said and passed that information to the press.

And now Trump is desperately trying to cover his ass because he just caused international outrage and angered many Republicans, including Rep. Mia Love of Utah and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida, both of whom are of Haitian descent and condemned Trump’s remarks and demanded he apologizes.

Instead of apologizing, Trump just made things worse by lashing out at Twitter.
